International Relations

Collaboration with the other Jesuit Engineering Colleges in India and abroad is one of the priorities of XIE.

In India alone there are, including XIE, three Jesuit Engineering Colleges. They are Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vijayawada, Loyola ICAM Institute of Technology, Chennai, and XIE, Mumbai. On November 2011 the directors of all these institutes came together and formed an association called Association of Jesuit Institutes of Technology (AJIT). The aim of AJIT is to share the resources among us, to have a common content for orientation programs for students, staff and faculty,  and to have faculty-exchange programs. For example, a professor who is excellent in teaching electronics in Andhra Loyola Institute of Technology can come to XIE for a month to teach our students. Likewise, a few of our professors can go to Vijayawada or Chennai.

At the international level, XIE is collaborating with Santa Clara University, California, USA. In 2011, Mr. Michael Neumann (PhD) from Santa Clara University came to our college and taught Robotics for a month.

Besides Santa Clara University, XIE is hoping to make some collaborative academic activities with Sanata Dharma University (Yogyakarta), Indonesia.
